The indoor flea market at Ham-Com 2008.
Flea Markets

There are three separate selling areas for flea market participants:

  • Indoor (main exhibit hall)
  • Outdoor (front portico and courtyard)
  • Tailgate (west parking lot)

Indoor flea market tables are sold out as of Tuesday, February 3, 2009.

Outdoor flea market tables are still available.

There are sixty (60) indoor tables, forty (40) outdoor tables and a maximum of 100 tailgate market spaces. There is also space in the courtyard of the Plano Centre for "pop-up" shelters.

Flea market tables can be purchased via the "Admission" link on the left side of the page. Ham-Com includes the price of one (1) general admission ticket with each table sold. Online orders are sold on a "first-come, first-served" basis. If the tables in either section are oversold, purchasers will receive an email noting that fact and the amount paid online will be refunded. Anyone receiving an email noting an oversold condition will be placed on a waiting list.

Tailgate market spaces are first-come, first-served on each day of the event. NO reservations will be taken for the tailgate market.

Please note the following changes from previous events:

  • ALL sales for flea market tables will be done online. We cannot accept mail or FAX orders!

  • There is a three (3) table limit for the indoor section (no exceptions, please).

  • There is a five (5) table limit for the outdoor section (no exceptions, please).

  • The Ham-Com Flea Market Director will determine the location for all vendors.

  • Purchasers will be notified of their table assignment after ALL orders have been processed.

  • Ham-Com reserves the right to change table locations and layout based on courtesy to special-needs Hams or other unforseen situations.

Instructions for picking up packets and unloading at Ham-Com -

The facility will be available for set up on the Thursday prior to the event from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participants arriving on Friday, the first day of the event, are expected to pick up their packets at the west double-door and unload between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Security is provided on Thursday and Friday nights. The indoor flea market opens at 8:00 a.m. No one without a vendor badge will be permitted to enter the main exhibit hall prior to that time. There will be no exceptions.

All participants are required to sign forms before being allowed to unload and set up. Once you have your packet and table assignment you can drive to the door and unload. Once you have unloaded you must move your vehicle back to the parking lot to make room for others.

  • Please remember that Ham-Com is an all-volunteer show.

  • Each inside vendor will be given a sticker or stamp to identify them for entrance into the inside flea market area during set-up hours. Overhead large doors will be open during set-up hours and limited during show hours to help maintain the climate control of the building.

  • There must be at least two openings on a table row. If a table is placed on the end a space must be allocated on the side.

  • All tables are allocated one chair. Some extra chairs are available, but the number is limited.

  • Materials for sale or display must not be weapons or sexually offensive in nature.

  • Damage caused to tables, chairs or building due to a failure of the flea market vendor to protect from reasonable damage will be the responsibility of the flea market vendor.

  • The Ham-Com team will attempt to resolve any dispute in a fair manner. Event director decisions are final.

  • Assuming or using tables not assigned to you are not permitted whether they are occupied or not.

  • Tables may not be “re-sold” by a table holder without the knowledge of the Ham-Com inside flea market staff and documented on the table assignment log.

  • Ham-Com fully supports and is committed to the objectives of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). We strive to provide equal opportunity to all ADA qualified persons who participate in Ham-Com.
