Commercial Exhibit Space

Space in the main exhibit hall is nearly sold out. Commercial booth space in the hallway will be available after the main exhibit hall sells out. The price for exhibitors is $295.00 per space. Scout Merit Badge Program Continues

Ham-Com 2010 will again host the Boy Scout One-Day Radio Merit Badge program. For details, click the "Scout Events" link on the left.

The last day to sign up for a time slot at this year's event is March 30. You must request a time slot and space for your presentation, workshop or special interest group meeting using the online form via the "Presenters" link at the left.

Ham-Com 2010 to Host QCWA Convention

Larry Essary, K5XG, president of QCWA Chapter 41 has announced that Ham-Com will be the site of their QCWA convention. All QCWA Chapters are invited and the event is expected to attract QCWA members world-wide. The convention will be known as the Dallas QCWA Convention. The NTMS-HSMM and Austin-HSMM groups produced a six-hour Webinar that originated from the main fire station in Lucas, TX on Saturday, February 6. There were 25 attendees at the site and over 100 online registrants from grid squares all over the US and Canada. Presenters from multiple locations provided detailed information about High-Speed Multi-Media (HSMM) and the use of modified Linksys WRT54GL 2.4 GHz Wireless Routers to form a MESH network. The modifications provide handy high-speed digital communications in the Ham band for emergencies, special events and field day. The Webinar covered applications, antennas, hardware, and the software developed by the Austin-HSMM group. More Webinars are being planned for the group later this year and there will be multiple presentations about this subject at Ham-Com. The presenters answered over 150 questions from the audience via VOIP audio and the Webinar chat facility. For more information about HSMM visit www.hsmm-mesh.org or contact Kip Moravec.

Supporting clubs and special interest groups can use the Ham-Com Webinar system year-round to provide content, training and live presentations for meetings. The system can handle up to 1,000 viewers. New Online Payment System Installed

Ham-Com will provide direct online processing for Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Our new Web site provides SSL security for all customer information. While PayPal will continue to be our processor, credit card users will no longer be be transferred to the PayPal Web site to pay by credit card. Ham-Com, Inc. does not view or retain customer credit card information for online transactions. PayPal users retain the option of using their account to make purchases on the Ham-Com Web site.
